| Alexander's doorknockers are handcrafted
in Quebec. Each doorknocker features a pine, hand painted "critter"
mounted on an attractive birch base, with a sturdy leather
cord & a small birch twig knob. Pulling on the
leather cord pivots the critter forward to "knock" against the
base. The birch bases are finished, leaving white birch bark
on both sides. The bases are pre-drilled for easy mounting
(usually along the door casing) & an outdoor scene, unique
to each critter, is hand painted on the upper end.
A polyurethane finish provides protection against sun & rain.
